About Chevra Kadisha Mortuary

Chevra Kadisha Mortuary is an independent Orthodox Jewish mortuary at 7832 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, established in 1976 and run under Orthodox rabbinic supervision. It performs tahara and shmira, with a shomer reciting Tehillim until burial. Its traditional burial package covers tahara, a shomer, tachrichim, a plain pine casket, the hearse and the funeral director, not the rabbi or cemetery charges; pre-need plans start at $350 a month (listed Oct 2026). Shabbat and holiday calls go to an answering service.
